Clinton County Junior Fair Staff & Information

Junior Fair Supporters

The Clinton County Junior Fair is another avenue for youth to expand their knowledge on a specific project area, experience judging and exhibition, and enhance many life skills such as interviewing and public speaking. The fair is the culmination of the year and an opportunity for members to showcase their work and accomplishments. Members bring their projects to the fair for a couple of days or the entire week.

The Clinton County Fair also offers the opportunity to educate the public about 4-H and offer all the chance to get involved. The Fair is a popular venue for families across the county. The Clinton County Fair is always the first Saturday after July 4th. You can find the Clinton County Fair at 958 West Main Street, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.

In Clinton County, there are two main organizations that coordinate the fair. The Clinton County Agricultural Society or Senior Fair Board and the 4-H program. The Senior Fair Board manages the entire grounds and operates the site year-round.  The Senior Fair Board is  the key organization that puts on the Clinton County Fair. The 4-H program assists with the management of the Junior Fair.

The 4-H program tackles its portion of the fair with many sub-committees that work with the 4-H committee to plan and prepare. The committees set the policies and requirements while working with the 4-H Youth Development Educator.

The committees nominate judges, set up the show areas, select awards, conduct the skillathon, assist with clinics and quality assurance sessions,  run the fair shows and events, provide Cloverbud fair events, and create show orders and sale bills. The 4-H program and committees work to provide youth opportunities in the junior fair. The junior fair couldn’t happen without the committees and volunteers.

Below is a list of Clinton County’s committees that help facilitate the Junior Fair.:

4-H Committee Beef Dairy
Dog Family/Consumer Science Goat/Sheep
Hog Horse Poultry
Rabbit Sales Shooting Sports
