Garden for the Senses

GARDEN FOR THE SENSES

The Master Gardeners of 2003 have planned and carried out this downtown Van Wert park as a way to share information about gardens, plants, planting, and the joy of working in the soil.  Take a stroll through the Garden of the Senses.

CHILDREN'S GARDEN

A unique garden setting, designed by the Van Wert County Master Gardeners of Childrens Garden Entrance2004 and 2006, is being created at Smiley Park and will provide a hands-on learning facility for children of all ages. A walkway through the center of the garden leads you to the colorful Butterfly House.  In the center of the garden is a brightly colored gazebo which is surrounded by several theme gardens, all to be enjoyed "children" of all ages.
