Our Mission

The Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Program provides knowledge to and develops the leadership abilities of volunteers who, in turn, enable others to improve the quality of their lives by enhancing their home and community environments through horticultural education and activities.

Our Vision

The OSU Extension Master Gardener Program is a premiere statewide network of volunteer education and leadership development, as well as consumer horticulture education delivery system that maximizes human, material and natural resources and values teamwork and excellence in educational programming.

Our Mission is to educate gardeners and to serve the community in  horticultural practices. 

Our Objectives

  • Provide clear and factual horticultural information
  • Support the mission and objectives of the OSU Extension Master Gardener Program
  • Strive for the highest quality in our education and service
  • Promote camaraderie among members and public good will
  • To support the mission and objectives, the organization may sell products and/or services and may exercise such other powers as are granted by the General Not For Profit Corporation Act of the State of Ohio.
