Morgan County Master Gardeners

Since 2003 four classes, approximately 55 people, have completed the Master Gardener program in Morgan County.  Of those, over half have continued as active volunteers donating time to such projects as the Malta Riverfront Park, County Road 2 litter pick-up, community plantings at the Morgan County boat ramp and Stockport Lock among others; garden Q&A at the Morgan County Farmer’s Market and the Morgan County Summer Garden Tour.

In addition to the 2010 summer garden tour, the Master Gardener’s are working on a community garden project.  Persons interested in going through the 6-week program and becoming Master Gardeners should contact the Extension Office.  The next planned class is fall 2010.
