About Family Nutrition Program
- The Family Nutrition Program is a partnership between the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services and Ohio State University Extension in an effort to improve the nutrition of families and individuals who are food stamp program participants OR eligible nonparticipants. Teaching objectives include good nutrition, food safety and thrifty food shopping. An overriding objective of the program is to promote and support food security. Who Qualifies for Family Nutrition Programs
- The Family Nutrition Program is for individuals and families with limited food resources. At the present time that includes those receiving or eligible for the Ohio Food Assistance Program OR households that are at or below 180% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines of the United States.
