Welcome to the 4-H Youth Development Program of Hancock County. We have 42 4-H clubs, involving 880 youth & 195 adult volunteers. Over 200 different 4-H projects allow youth to explore a wide variety of interests!

Page 4-H Advisory Council
The 4-H Advisory Council consists of 22 adults and 11 teens. The Council works closely with the Extension Educator for 4-H Youth Development to plan and direct 4-H programs in Hancock County.

Page 4-H Endowment
County 4-H endowments are permanent funds made possible through individual donations, business and corporate contributions, and fund raising events. Contributions are invested permanently through the Ohio 4-H Foundation and interest income returns to the county to fund local 4-H youth development education programs, and adds value to the county endowment to keep pace with inflation.

Jr Fair Royalty Applications are now available! The Jr Fair theme for 2012 is "From Old Times to New, Jr. Fair Stays True".
Page 4-H Camp
Check out a fun way to make friends. Explore youth camping opportunities available through 4-H. Many camps are open to all youth, regardless of 4-H membership. Hancock County has provided an outstanding Jr Camp (for campers 8-14 years of age) for MANY years!
Page 4-H Cloverbuds
Check out programs for our youngest 4-Hers. The 4-H Cloverbud program is for youth ages 5 years and in kindergarten until they reach age 8 and in the third grade.

Page Contests
Livestock Judging, Individual & Team Demonstrations/Illustrated Talks, 4-H Marketing Contest, Health & Safety Speaking and Skit Contest - these are fun opportunities for 4-H members to gain public speaking skills, and livestock evaluation skills. Additional learning experiences are required for many 4-H projects and participating in these 4-H contests is a great way to get more out of your project work!

Page 4-H Enrollment and Completion Requirements
4-H is open to any youth that meets the age requirements! Generally speaking, enrollment is due April 1, and all project changes need to be submitted on or before June 1. Members are required to complete at least one project each year & participate in the evaluation of that project through county 4-H project judging or by a club advisor.
