2012 County Fair

    COMPLETED... Meigs County QA Dates for 2012 April 14, 8am-11am @ Southern High School& April 24 6pm-8pm @ Meigs High School

  • Any 4-Her or FFAer who has NOT completed their QUALITY ASSURANCE TRAINING FOR APRIL 21, 2012 from 8 AM - NOON must complete the training before bringing their project to the fair. 8:00 AM at the Fairground in the Activity Building.  Groups will rotate through 4 stations with each station about 15 minutes in length. A new group will be started every 15minutes (first come first serve) beginning at 8:00 AM and ending at 11:00AM. Please note the first hour 8-9 am is normally very busy, you may want to arrive after 9AM to avoid waiting.  Please don’t arrive after 11:00 AM as the last group will start at 11:00 sharp! No late arrival will be accepted once this group has started sessions.

    • All fair exhibitors taking Dairy, Beef, Swine, Sheep or Goat projects (with the exception of miniature goats) must attend QA training or take the optional test options.  QA tests maybe offered to those exhibitors ages 12-14 on a year by year basis.  Exhibitors may schedule an appointment to take a 50 question multiple choice test, if they score at least a 70% on this test they will have met this years QA requirements.  

  • Exhibitors ages 15—18 may schedule to take a TEST OUT option, which if they score at least a 70% will test them out of taking QA for the rest of their Exhibit time at the Gallia County Junior Fair. To schedule an appointment call 740-446-7007.  Appointments maybe made between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM Monday—Friday.  All test must be completed by June 1st!
