Cash Rent Calculator

To use the calculator, please enter your corn and soybean yields below then click on the "Calculate Cash Rent" button.

It's best to enter a multiple-year average corn yield and a multiple-year average soybean yield.

You may enter whole numbers (i.e., 140), or numbers with up to two decimals (i.e., 140.46).

The calculator below is designed for a corn/soybean rotation. If wheat is in the rotation, subtract $4.00 per acre from the result.

Corn Yield:  bushels/acre
Soybean Yield:  bushels/acre

Cash Rent $ per acre
This calculation is provided as reference only. It is not intended for, nor provided to be used as an actual cash rent.

Use the calculated answer as a starting, or reference point. Final cash rent will be determined by mutual agreement of all parties involved.

Calculator was developed by Chris Bruynis, Wyandot County Extension Agent, and Bill Hudson, Marion County Extension Agent (see footnote below).
