Adams County Fair

The Adams County Fair is held in July at the Adams County Fairgrounds in West Union. It provides 4-H members, as well as members of other youth organizations, with opportunities to exhibit their projects, to receive expert feedback regarding those exhibits, and to receive recognition for their accomplishments from peers, experts, advisors, and the broader community.

Sunday, July 15, through Saturday, July 21 

Junior Fair Board

The Adams County Junior Fair activities and events are planned and implemented by the 32-member Adams County Junior Fair Board. Board members must be in at least 9th grade and must be actively enrolled in a Junior Fair youth organization at the time of the Fair. Junior Fair youth organizations include, but are not limited to, 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, VICA, BPA, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Youth Grange.

Junior Fair Board members must be appointed by their respective youth organizatioin or elected by their peers to serve at-large. Applications for at-large positions are due each year to the Extension Office by September 1.

The annual meeting of the Board is the first Wednesday in October.

Monthly meetings of the Board are held at the OVCTC on the first Wednesday of the month.

All underweight or overweight animals must be removed from the fairgrounds during designated times following weigh-in and will not be exhibited, shown, or sold.
