It’s that time of year to start thinking about 4-H for many residents in Clinton County and all over the state! And this is the best time of year for people who haven’t been in the program to learn about 4-H. If you’ve ever wondered how do you join? Is there a fee? What can you take in 4-H? To answer all of these questions and many more we’d like to invite the entire community to the Clinton County 4-H Winter Fair. That’s right, a fair in March with games, animals, food and more.

Free Children's Workshops - "Butterfly Gala" & "Creative Cocoons"

The Clinton County Master Gardeners in collaboration with No Child Left Indoors will be hosting two FREE educational children's workshops as part of the annual Earth Day activities to be held April 24, 2010 at the Wilmington Municipal Building. These workshops are for all children.
"Butterfly Gala" participants will construct and learn about the rearing of butterflies.
"Creative Cocoons" is for children ages 8 and up and will focus on the local members of the Giant Silk Moth family and the production of natural fiber silk, as well as the art of silk painting. Participants will make and take home creations of their own.

The Clinton County Master Gardeners will be holding their annual plant sale April 24, 2010 from 10:00 to 1:00PM at the Wilmington Municipal Building - Downtown Wilmington. Vegetables, Annual and Perrennial flowers and plants, and Herbs will be avaliable. Master Gardeners will also be available to answer your gardening questions. All prceeds from the plant sale are directed back into the community through Master Gardener Volunteer activities.
