Clinton County Jr. Leaders

WHAT IS IT?

CCJL is an organized program of activities which encourages older 4-H club members to develop new knowledge, skills and attitudes related to leadership and citizenship, while providing the opportunity to meet other youth from around the county.

WHO CAN ATTEND MEETINGS?

Any youth 13 – 18 years of age as of January 1 may attend meetings. Older 4-H’ers may choose to attend most meetings and work for the recognition of completing one year of a 4-H Leadership project. Some older youth may only be able to attend one or two meetings per year. Regardless of circumstances, all older 4-H’ers are invited to every CCJL meeting.

WHAT ARE THE LEADERSHIP COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS?

One county-wide activity may be filled by being selected and attending one or more of the following:

o       Camp counselor 4-H camp or Cloverbud day camp

o       State/National Award trip (i.e. Conservation Camp, Leadership Camp, Sea Camp, Citizenship Washington Focus, Etc.)

All teens who complete these requirements will earn a certificate, an award and an invitation to attend the County Recognition Banquet.
